Find Collectibles Calculation

  1. Some activities have the chance to drop a unique collectible.
    • Collectibles exist on a separate loot table, similar to chests, with their own drop chance
  2. Find collectibles percentage bonuses from attributes is calculated.
  3. These bonuses are added to the base find collectibles multiplier that you have (100%).
  4. The base chance to find collectibles for a given activity is multiplied by the calculated find collectibles multiplier.
  5. The modified find collectibles odds are rolled on a loot table. This has the effect of reducing the chance of a nothing role by adding a part of those odds to the collectible odds
    • Total Odds = No Drop Chance + (Collectible Chance × (100% Base Find Collectibles + X% Bonus Find Collectibles)) = 1 (You always get a result even if it is "no drop".)

Example with No Find Collectibles Bonuses

If we want to do Tinkering with no equipment, and we complete an action.

  1. Tinkering is able to give the Silver Pocket Watch collectible at a 0.100% chance.
  2. We have no equipment, so we have no percent collectibles finding bonus.
    • Find Collectibles Bonus = 0.00
  3. We added our collectibles finding bonus to the base collectibles finding multiplier that you have.
    • 1.00 collectibles finding multiplier + 0.00 collectibles finding bonus = 1.00 calculated collectibles finding multiplier
  4. We multiply the base collectible's chance by the calculated gem finding multiplier.
    • 0.001 × 1.00 = 0.001 modified find collectibles odds
  5. The modified find collectibles odds are rolled on a loot table.
    • Our 0.001 modified find gems odds gives us a 1/1000 chance per action completed to receive a Silver Pocket Watch.

Example with a Find Collectibles Bonus

If we want to do Tinkering with an Sharp Machete, and we complete an action.

  1. Tinkering is able to give the Silver Pocket Watch collectible at a 0.100% chance.
  2. Our equipment has a +4.0% Find Collectibles attribute.
    • Find Collectibles Bonus = 0.04
  3. We added our collectibles finding bonus to the base collectibles finding multiplier that you have.
    • 1.00 collectibles finding multiplier + 0.04 collectibles finding bonus = 1.04 calculated collectibles finding multiplier
  4. We multiply the base collectible's chance by the calculated gem finding multiplier.
    • 0.001 × 1.04 = 0.00104 modified find collectibles odds
  5. The modified find collectibles odds are rolled on a loot table.
    • Our 0.00104 modified find collectibles odds gives us a 1/962 chance per action completed to receive a Silver Pocket Watch.
