Guide:Ring of homesickness/Quickstart

The Ring of Homesickness requires 15 Achievement Points to unlock. You can obtain these from a mixture of Achievements and Collectibles.

For Achievements you should focus on the Easy Achievements as well as a few of the Normal Achievements and one potential Hard Achievement.

• For the Easy Achievements:
  • Barbarian Village, Helan Går!, If It Is Broken, Fix It, My Back Hurts, No Trashing, Only Two Fingers?, Ooh, Shiny!, Thanks, Herbert!, Touch The Grass, Treasure Hunter, Under The Sea, and Walk Of Shame are all easy to get in your first few days.
  • This will give you 12/15 AP.
• For the Normal Achievements:
  • Comrade, An Idiot Sandwich, and Fully Prepared are all pretty easy to do with a bit of focused attention depending on your levels.
  • As each Normal achievement is worth 3 AP you can replace 3 of the easy for each normal you can do.
• For the Hard Achievement:
  • I Just Felt Like Running is the easiest if you can hit the 30k step requirement. But this is currently bugged in version +411/+412.
  • If possible/available this will give you 5 AP by itself.
  • Please take care if you are new to walking long distances - you can't continue to earn achievement points if you injure yourself with this one!

For Collectibles you can get a few of the easier ones to replace a few achievements:

• Lost Timmy's sand shovel from Sandcastle building has a WEAR of 7,350 steps only.
• Petrified branch from Treasure hunt has a WEAR of 10,000 steps and you have the chance to get lucky with the other 3 as well.
• Jarvonian crossword puzzle from mining at Frostbite Mountain can be gotten at a WEAR of 30,000 steps and you can also make progress for the Rockstar achievement.
• Alternatively, sort Collectibles by WEAR and see which other activities you might already be doing.
