: The Closed Beta Test is currently ongoing. WalkScape plans to leave closed beta once we have the following missing features:
* Smartwatch support
* Trading
* Quests
* Combat
No earlier than Q4 2025.

====== Do I keep access to the game after the wave ends? ======
: Yes. The invite waves are when more people are accepted into the closed beta, and they can keep playing after the wave ends. If a wave is currently not ongoing, new players wanting to join will have to wait for the next one.

====== Will my progress get reset after the closed beta testing ends? ======
: Yes, there is a planned wipe during the transition from closed beta to open beta testing. It's possible but not yet confirmed if you will be able to keep your closed beta character as a offline single player character.

====== Does the game require GPS? ======
: No, the game uses your phone's pedometer.

====== How will the game register that a player walks? ======
: The game uses your device's step sensor data. Each modern phone these days track your steps automatically, and the game currently uses that data to determine how many steps you've gained. Currently iOS can use Apple Heathly to utilize their smart watches as an alternative option. Later on, it is planned to also include Android with Google Fit. This way, smart watches are also something you could use to gain steps in-game and are a top priority to get working further.

: The Devs have talked about this internally, and they are totally for this idea eventually. Conversion rate would still be made so cycling or other activities are not superior to walking.

: The game is available through Google Play Store (Android) and Testflight (iOS).

====== Where can I get [[Fishing Line]]? ======
: You can find these for sale at the [[Frosthook Emporium]] fishing store in [[Port Skildar]] in [[Jarvonia]], sold in quantities of 100 daily for 3 [[coins]] each.

====== Where can I find [[Cut Maple Trees|Maple Trees]]? ======
: You can find them in [[Mangrove Forest]] of the [[GDTE]], which will require the [[Jarvonian Letter of Passage]] - purchased for 4.5K [[coins]] at the [[Fort of Permafrost (Castle)]] within the [[Fort of Permafrost]] in [[Jarvonia]]. You can cut them for [[maple logs]] with level 30 [[Woodcutting]].

====== Why does it take (Very Large Number) of Steps to complete this action? ======
: Your [[inventory]] is probably over-filled (29+/28 slots). If the number in your inventory is displayed in RED, then you will need to either bank the excess items or drop them (losing them forever) so that the number is back under your limit and the amount of steps required is not penalized. Please note that '''this penalty does not affect [[traveling]].'''

: [[Collectibles]] aren't stored in your inventory. You can see them with your [[achievements]]. Click your character icon in the top left -> achievements -> collectibles

====== How do I get [[skis]]? ======
: You can buy Skis from [[Frusenholm]], the next town over from [[Kallaheim]].
: Note: The game screen can be somewhat confusing, seeming to tell you that you need skis when traveling forward from Kallaheim. They are however, not actually required, these are [[shortcuts]] that you see marked with red diamonds on the map.

====== How do I use the [[Ring of Homesickness]]? ======
: [[Abilities]] can be used from the rightmost tab. Keep the ring in your inventory.

====== How do I use my [[saved steps]]? ======
: By walking. While you have an activity selected, you will use a step from your step bank for each step you take, allowing you to complete actions at "double speed".

====== Why can't I buy [[items]]/accept [[jobs]]? ======
: You might be looking at the [[shops|shop]] through the inspect option through the [[map]]. Open it up through the location tab instead.
: Note: For jobs you may encounter a bug where you can't accept jobs after teleporting, restarting the game helps.

====== Why can't I [[Woodcutting|cut trees]] with [[Log Splitter]]?======
: The Log splitter is not a [[Woodcutting Hatchets|hatchet]]. You can equip both a hatchet, and a log splitter simultaneously.

====== I have +100% [[Fine Material Finding]] and still find normal [[materials]]? ======
: +100% fine material find does not give you a 100% chance of finding fine materials, it doubles your chance to find them, from 1/200 to 2/200.

====== Are +% on equipment additive or multiplicative? ======
: These are multiplicative. You can see more on how [[equipment]] attributes are calculated for each one specifically with examples under the [[attributes]] page.

====== Where can I find better crafting [[equipment]]? ======
: Right now, better equipment is mostly found via [[chests]] that can be found by training the main [[Skills|skill]] involved. (IE: Do [[Crafting#Activities|crafting activities]] to find crafting equipment.)

====== Can I wear 2 of the same [[rings]]? ======
: Yes, you can wear 2 of the same ring with no penalty.

====== Why is level 50 called early game? Is it not just over halfway to 99? ======
: WalkScape follows the same [[Skill Experience|leveling formula]] as RuneScape - level 92 is actually just half of the experience needed to get to level 99. So level 50 in a skill is still actually quite early on for a player and they will have much to do before they get it all the way to level 99.
