Introduction
There are several items, activities, and achievements that are locked behind a tiered progress. This guide is to provide a shorthand on the order to do them. This does not include the gates at Wraithwater (and the ectoplasm requirement) nor the requirement to purchase a Camel before entering Wrentmark.
Skiing
Skiing is an Agility activity centered around
Jarvonia. It requires the player to equip skis, and progresses as follows:
- Acquire
Birch skis through
Cut birch trees,
Cut pine trees,
Forest foraging, or purchasing them for 31
Coins from
JarvoJoy in
Frusenholm. These require at least
Agility at level 5.
- Complete
Classic skiing in
Casbrant Fields 50 times
- Acquire
Pine skis by purchasing them for 71
Coins from
JarvoJoy in
Frusenholm. These require at least
Agility at level 15 and completing Classic skiing 50 times. Pine skis are not required but provide +16%
Work efficiency, compared to the Birch Skis’ +7%

You’ve now unlocked the use of Oak skis (purchasable for 71

This shortcut takes you from Frostbite Mountain to Azurazera in 2255 base steps; without skis, the trek is 2939 base steps
Swimming and Diving Gear
Swimming is also an Agility activity, although this is centered around both
Grand Duchy of Trellin-Erdwise (GDTE) and
Syrenthia. It requires the player to equip various levels of Diving Gear, and progresses as follows:
- Complete
Surface swimming in
Farsand Coast or
Granfiddich Shores 200 times. This requires at least
Agility at level 20.
- Complete
Bodysurfing in
Red Coast 100 times. This requires at least
Agility at level 40
- Acquire 3 unique pieces of
Diving Gear. They are found as follows:
Rusty diving helmet by purchasing them for 500
Coins from
Frosthook Emporium in
Port Skildar. These require at least
Agility at level 20
Rusty diving torso by purchasing them for 20
Adventurers' guild token from the
Adventurers' Guild Outpost in the
Horn of Respite. These require at least
Agility at level 20
Rusty diving leggings from
Sunken chests. You should have received several chests while doing Surface Swimming and Bodysurfing. They will drop more than 50% of the time from Sunken chests. These require at least
Agility at level 20
- Forage at least 12
Kelp by completing
Kelp foraging in
Kelp Forest. You will need both
Foraging and
Woodcutting at level 35.
- Cook at least 6
Hardened kelp by cooking your Kelp. You will need
Cooking at level 35.
- Tailor the 3 unique pieces of
Advanced Diving Gear. They are made as follows:
Kelp diving mask with 2
Hardened kelp. This requires
Tailoringat level 25 to craft and
Agility level 30 to wear.
Kelp diving pants with 2
Hardened kelp. This requires
Tailoringat level 26 to craft and
Agility level 30 to wear.
Kelp diving shirt with 2
Hardened kelp. This requires
Tailoringat level 27 to craft and
Agility level 30 to wear.
- Complete
Underwater swimming in
Elara's Lagoon 50 times. This requires at least
Agility at level 50
You’ve now unlocked the use of Hydrilium diving helm,
Hydrilium diving torso, and
Hydrilium diving leggings, which are crafted out of
Hydrilium (itself made from
Hardened kelp and
Volcanic rock! Congrats! With Hydrilium Diving Gear, you can now access all parts of Syrenthia, including
Darktide Trench.
Additionally, Diving Gear or the various swimming activities unlocks or enables the following Achievements:
- The Achievement
Human Fish requires you to complete
Surface swimming 200 times,
Bodysurfing 100 times, and
Underwater swimming 50 times. The actual progression to Hydrilium gear only requires the player to complete
Underwater swimming 25 times, but the other activities provide Sunken chests to get the Rusty Diving Leggings and increase your Agility level.
- The Achievement
Overprepared requires you to wear three unique pieces of Diving Gear while completing the activity
Cleaning the holy fountain in
Azurazera
Other Diving Gear also exists, and can be found while doing various activities; the only ones that cannot be bypassed are the Rusty Diving items, but the rest require significant effort to acquire. Diving Gear
Merfolk shell coverings is found in
Chest of Syrenthia and will drop in 34.39% of chests. It requires 1
Syrenthia faction reputation to use
Advanced Diving Gear
Merfolk dress is dropped when doing
Merfolk dancing with a drop rate of 0.196%. It requires
Agility at level 40
Merfolk dance skirt is found in
Chest of Syrenthia and will drop in 4.907% of chests. It requires 30
Syrenthia faction reputation to use
Expert Diving Gear
Oxygen tank is a reward for earning 10
Syrenthia faction reputation.
Merfolk dance corslet is found in
Chest of Syrenthia and will drop in 1.492% of chests. It requires 60
Syrenthia faction reputation to use
Merfolk dance circlet is found in
Chest of Syrenthia and will drop in 0.399% of chests. It requires 100
Syrenthia faction reputation to use
Tentacle crown’s acquisition method is not yet known
Other Locked Progression
Five achievements exist that require you to complete specific activities a certain number of times. These are largely not tied to other requirements, so they may be easy to miss.
The Achievement Feed Your Inner Child requires the following:

Beach of Woes 15 times
- Complete
Sledding in
Nurturing Nook Springs 25 times
- Complete
Butterfly catching in
Warrenfield 35 times
The Achievement Non-Academic Electives requires the following:

The Achievement Big Game Hunter requires the following:
